Park Opening With COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

Park Opening With COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

Welcome Guests.  If you’ve been following the developing details of our park opening in our blog, you’ll know that we’ve been working hard to get ready for this season.

Park Opening

Private campgrounds and trailer parks can open as of midnight this Saturday. The Premier of Ontario said during his daily briefing on May 14th,  that if we do this right it will set a precedent for other businesses to also open.  The opening is for trailers and recreational vehicles whose owners have a full season contract.

In addition to all the regularly performed jobs necessary before opening, we’ve been dealing with how to operate and manage the park this season with COVID-19.  We will be open on Saturday, May 16 at noon. We feel confident we will have our high safety standards in-place for opening on May 16. We appreciate your patience and are prioritizing everyone’s safety above all else.  Please follow the COVID-19 Safety Guidlines.

Restrictions of Gathering and Certain Spaces

We are asking for your assistance in helping ensure that we are all safe while staying at Blue Heron Trailer Park.  There will be a few new ways of doing some things we simply won’t be able to do for an indefinite period.  There won’t be any large gatherings.  This means the group orientation will be done differently this year as the Ontario rule prohibits gathering of more than five people.  The public washroom will be closed.  The clubhouse and the pool will also be closed.  There will be signage posted on all locations as a reminder to keep us all safe.  The park is open only to Guests with an RV seasonal contract.  The private tenting area is closed at this time.

COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

COVID-19 poster Blue Heron Trailer Park We are grateful our sector (trailer parks and campgrounds) is in the first phase of businesses permitted to open after the lock down.  It’s up to all of us to make sure that we lead by example and practice all of the safety guidelines as issued by Ontario Health.  We will be ready to open and operate safely if we all follow the guidelines.

No Visitors

The only people allowed in your trailer are are the same people you live with at home. We want to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. This is the start of the reopening of Ontario. We want to do this slowly and correctly. This is not the time to bring visitors to your trailer.

How We Will Stay Safe

We need to ensure that all of us in the park stay safe.  Blue Heron Trailer Park Staff and Guests will continue to follow guidelines set by the Ontario Ministry of Health.

It is extremely important that we follow the guidelines.  All of our safety and future depend on our actions.  We look forward to seeing you, although at a distance.  You will be greeted with a friendly wave.
